An exceptional vintage: quality, quantity, and the best harvest since 2019 At Vins el Cep, we began the harvest on August 8th and finished on September 8th, making it one of the most intense in our history. This accelerated pace was marked by the high temperatures of the first weeks of August, which caused the grapes to ripen much faster than usual in our area.Despite this early harvest, the quality has been excellent: this year we achieved an optimal balance between sugars and acidity, ensuring wines of great expressiveness.A key factor has been the recovery of rainfall after five years of drought, with a record of 841 mm in

The grape harvest is the star activity of the winery and the time of the year when we are all most united. This year we started the harvest - quite early due to the high temperatures - on August 9th with the Pinot Noir from the Paraje Qualificado Can Prats and we finished it on September 17th with the Parellada. 41 days later we have put an end to it. Just as we have been harvesting together for 41 years, our essence, the union of 4 families of winegrowers.

We have to be grateful to the benign weather of our Penedés, to give us the possibility of having an excellent 2019 harvest.

An ideal climate, moderate rainfall and a good evolution of the grape in the last vegetative cycle allowed a harvest marked by a very good quality. The grapes ripened very well and were very healthy. The balance between temperatures and rainfall allowed harvesting a grape with optimal conditions and producing high quality wines. A catalog harvest. We started on August 14th with the Pinot Noir and finished on September 25th with the Cabernet Sauvignon.
