Vins El Cep Blanc de Negres: the new “Cava de Paraje” from the Can Prats site
At Vins El Cep we present Blanc de Negres, our new Single Estate Cava from the Can Prats site, located within our estate in the Penedès.
This cava originates from the first Pinot Noir vineyard we planted in 1990, a pioneering decision on our estate that over time has proven its ability to express the character of our territory. For many years, this vineyard produced the well-known Mim Blanc de Noirs, which now evolves to give way to a new interpretation of this site.
The Can Prats site is defined by sandy and highly calcareous soils, a combination that favors balance and complexity in Pinot Noir. These conditions, together with the Mediterranean climate and careful vineyard work, give rise to a cava with remarkable purity, freshness, salinity and finesse.
The result is a true expression of Mediterranean Pinot Noir, capable of conveying with precision the origin and landscape from which it comes.
With this new recognition as a Single Estate Cava, Vins El Cep Blanc de Negres becomes an even more precise expression of our terroir and of our commitment to organic and environmentally respectful viticulture.
The Can Prats site therefore represents a new chapter in the history of our estate: a cava born from a vineyard with more than three decades of history, now standing as one of the most distinctive expressions of Pinot Noir in the Penedès.
