At Vins El Cep, we believe that making wine is much more than a job: it’s a way of life, a way of listening to the land and respecting its rhythm. We are biodynamic, organic, and committed to sustainability, and every day we work to care for what gives us everything: nature.
This Bio Week, we want to open the doors of our world to share the work we do, explain how we work, and above all, convey the values that guide us: respect, harmony, and responsibility toward our environment.
Working with nature
Our journey begins in the vineyard, where everything starts. We observe, listen, and act with sensitivity, because every vine, every stone, every living being is part of an ecosystem that must be cared for.
The wine sector faces great challenges, especially climate change, and we are fully aware of it. That’s why, for over 20 years, we’ve been moving toward a more conscious viticulture, incorporating sustainable practices that help us reduce environmental impact and preserve biodiversity.
Cava Claror, the reflection of a dream
Our love for the land has always led us to seek the perfect balance between nature and quality. From this commitment was born Cava Claror, the world’s first biodynamic cava, the fruit of exceptional vineyards cared for according to biodynamic principles.
The project began in 2003, with the desire to go beyond organic farming. Since then, we’ve worked to maintain the vineyard as a living, self-sufficient organism, in which everything is interconnected.
A system in balance
Biodynamic viticulture, inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, promotes a self-sufficient and balanced system through the rhythms of the cosmos and the interconnection between plants, soil, and animals. We use natural preparations that act as vital impulses for the soil and the vine:
- Compost preparations improve fertility and microbiological activity.
- Spray preparations, such as 500 and 501, strengthen the roots and enhance grape ripening.
This way of working connects us with natural rhythms and reminds us that viticulture is, above all, an act of balance and love for life.
100% organic, 100% committed
Our commitment to nature is also reflected in the organic certification of all our vineyards. For more than twenty years, we can proudly say that we are 100% organic.
